Kan Jang® has been on the Swedish market since 1978 and is also developed and manufactured here.
Kan Jang is a traditional herbal medicinal product used for the relief of symptoms of colds. The indications for a traditional herbal medicinal product are based exclusively on experience of long-term use.
Kan Jang contains the plants echinacea, malabar nut (is not a nut) and eleuthero. These plants have traditionally been used for cold symptoms. Kan Jang should be taken as soon as possible when cold symptoms appear and should not be used for longer periods than 10 days per treatment session.

Kan Jang is used for the relief of cold symptoms, at the first sign of a cold.
Adults, the elderly and adolescents from 12 years of age: 15 ml 2 times a day. Not recommended for children under 12 years of age or during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Treatment should start as soon as possible when cold symptoms appear. Can Jang should not be used for extended periods of 10 days per session.
Contact a doctor or other healthcare professional if symptoms worsen or if a high fever occurs.
Once opened, store for a maximum of 4 months in a refrigerator (2ºC-8ºC).
Colds are the most common infection, in the nose, throat or throat. It is almost always caused by a virus. You are exposed to cold viruses on many occasions in everyday life.
There is no medicine that can cure the common cold. However, you can relive the symptoms!
Many people mistakenly believe that Kan Jang originates from Asia, but it is in fact an all-Swedish product. The combination was developed by us, SHI Pharma, and was put on the Swedish market as early as 1978.
In total, over 100 million daily doses have been sold in Sweden alone. Can Jang be produced in our own factory in Vallberga, even though the plants originate from different parts of the world.
Can Jang be used for relief of cold symptoms, at the first sign of a cold. Common cold symptoms include a runny nose, headache, sore throat, fatigue, and slight fever.
Ingredients – The active substances per ml are:
9 mg extract of Echinacea purpurea (Red coneflower), root, equivalent to 23–63 mg dried root.14 mg extract of Justicia adhatoda (Malabar nut), leaf, equivalent to 49–70 mg dried leaf.2 mg extract of Eleutherococcus senticosus (eleuthero), root, equivalent to 34–60 mg dried root. The other ingredients are: purified water, sorbitol (E 420), liquorice root extract, hustenkraer flavouring (containing propylene glycol, star anise oil, fennel oil, eucalyptus oil, field mint oil and thyme oil), methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E 218), ginger extract, peppermint oil, polysorbate 80, eucalyptus oil, propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E 216), sodium benzoate (E 211) and potassium sorbate (E 202).

Storage: Keep this medicine out of sight and reach of children, store above 25ºC. Once opened, store for a maximum of 4 months in a refrigerator (2ºC-8ºC).
Can you as a diabetic take Kan Jang?
Yes! Kan Jang contains 3.9 grams of sorbitol per dose.
Can you as an allergy sufferer take Kan Jang?
Not if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to Echinacea purpurea (red coneflower) or to other basket-flowered plants (e.g. mugwort, chamomile, daisy, dandelion, wormwood), or allergic (hypersensitive) to Russian root or malabar nut or to any other ingredient.
Is malabar nut a nut?
No. Justicia adhatoda is called malabar nut – but is not a nut (the flower looks like a nut).
Why can’t I use Kan Jang for longer than 10 days?
It is a medicine that is not intended to be used for more than 10 days. In addition, a cold is acute and usually lasts no longer than 10 days.
Is there anything more important to know about Kan Jang?
Can Jang should not be used with other medicines that affect the immune system. Kan Jang should also not be used if you have any disease that affects the immune system.
Is Kan Jang all vegetable?
Yes, it is completely vegetable.
What is a traditional herbal medicinal product?
Anyone who wants to register a product as a traditional herbal medicinal product, abbreviated as TVBL, must be able to show that the product in question, or an equivalent product, has had medical use for a period of at least 30 years, of which at least 15 years in the EU.
