SHI Pharma is part of the Swedish Institute of Herbal Medicine, which was founded in 1969. The company develops and produces effective plant-based products with well-documented effects, including Kan Jang, Chisan, Arctic Root and Femineral. All our products are backed by solid quality assurance.
Our entire production process, from plant raw material to finished product, is based in Vallberga, Sweden. Our 6,000 m2 facility is certified for both GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient) standards, granted by the Swedish Medical Products Agency.
As early as 1977, the production of Kan Jang oral solution was started in its own industrial property. In 1983, a separate processing unit for extraction began to be built. That same year, Kan Jang became the best-selling cold product in Sweden.
The company manufactures all its products in Sweden, in a small village, Vallberga, from plant raw materials to finished consumer products.
