Development
From the very beginning, the company has collaborated with the foremost experts in pharmacognosy, i.e. the study of medicinal plants. Their and the company’s common interest was in a special group of naturally occurring substances against different types of stress, so-called adaptogens. Over time, this category has developed into the company’s main area of expertise. Through our research, we have identified the mechanisms of action, efficacy, safety and synergy effects of the plants we use.
Adaptogens are a category of natural substances. These are defined as having the ability to normalize and strengthen bodily functions and systems when these are exposed to stress (doc. ref. EMEA/HMPC/102655/2007, London, 8 May 2008).
ADAPTOGENS
One example is the work with the extract ADAPT-232. ADAPT-232 consists of the adaptogens schisandra, Russian root and rhodiola rosea. Both the extracts and the plants are very well documented. Each of the plants has a strong effect, but when these are combined, a synergy effect of its own arises, i.e. 1+1 becomes 3. Our research and methodology on synergy effects have also attracted global attention, and the latest research on adaptogens and gene array has generated great interest among other researchers.
Through our research, we have gained great recognition in the field of adaptogens and contributed to the great interest that now exists worldwide. We have participated in major international seminars and congresses where we presented our study results, and in these contexts, we have also found good partners in the form of researchers at reputable universities with whom we conduct joint research.
Our research has resulted in a total of about 80 published articles in international peer-reviewed journals.
